Embraced by the final rhythm,
Trying hard to pretend and be still.
"Be happy now for tomorrow,"
Grief will be my shelter, my friend.
Chasing rainbows of hope,
Assurance washed completely away.
Kiss goodbye, try not to cry,
Hold on tight, dare tears to stay.
That day, an open nightmare,
Grief shields a heavy silence.
Tears sustain a hungry desire;
In this chaos, I’m bound and stuck.
Longing, dying, the craziness of craving,
I cannot give it another try.
Yet in the deepest depths of sorrow,
I’ll learn to rise, not just survive.
