A Toxic Workplace

Here I would like to discuss two issues that I think many people experience at the workplace.  1. The Toxicity of the Mature Bully: When Age Does Not Equal Leadership In any professional environment, there is an implicit expectation that maturity accompanies age. We naturally assume that as workers grow older and gain experience, the petty insecurities of youth will give way to collaboration, mentorship, and emotional intelligence. However, one of the most disheartening realities of modern organizational behavior is the existence of the mature workplace bully—an adult co-worker who, despite being surrounded by a seasoned and aging workforce, continues to deploy schoolyard tactics to steal the spotlight and undermine their peers.
