Reborn Midnight

I sheared my hair yesterday, Cast the crimson poison to the wind. Facing the glass, the mirror screams: Man, what have you done? Her cries in the ash-grey dark twist into song, Man, what have you done? Her sorrow bleeds into a scarlet smile, Man, what have you done? Her hunger wild beneath the amber moon, Man, what have you done? Her aching flesh hardens into iron-black armor, Man, what have you done? Each agonizing pulse, a quiet war won, Man, what have you done? Her scars rewritten into sacred myth. Man, what have you done? The pitch-dark silence begins to hum, A siren rising, lethal and clean. I cut my hair. I am reborn.

Unwanted

At a message board, allies bounded, No one wants your opinion, Don’t post a comment, A whisper lost in empty shells, No one wants to hear from you, Don’t keep in touch. At a message board, a ghostly trace, No one wants your presence, Don’t chat with them, A fleeting smile, a vacant space, No one wants you to progress, Don’t tell your accomplishments. In a message room, a spark may glow, But no one wants you to be known, Don’t speak up, keep the silence, A heart confined, a spirit frayed, In the stillness, drink from a bitter cup. In a message room, yet they may be quiet, Your voice never aired, though truth you share, For even the shadows of seeds can’t grow, Never find their way to the light, Even if you dare, ambitions just fade away. Yet in the silence, a whisper may rise, A flicker of hope in the darkest skies, For even in shadows, a truth can ignite, And break through the silence, embracing the light.

The Reality of Employment

The old sayings that lingered in every mind,  Employment is a contract, not a favor,  A binding agreement is a mutual endeavor,  Your salary is a payment for your work, not a gift,  A recognition of effort, a well-deserved lift.  Never say thank you for a salary increase,  For you've earned every cent; your value won't cease,  It's a reflection of dedication, of hours well spent,  A testament to the hard work and passion you've lent.  An employer is never your friend, In the business of profit, relationships can bend, You are replaceable when you are no use, A stark reminder of the corporate ruse. Yet within this truth, let strength arise, Know your worth, let ambition be your prize, For in the world of work, where shadows may loom, Stand firm in your value, let your talents bloom. So navigate the landscape with wisdom and grace, Build connections that matter, find your own space, For while employment may come with its chains, Your spirit and...

Who Am I

Where TRUST can be a fragile thing, This WOMAN stands, a steadfast spring, In a world where masks often conceal, She embodies the essence, Of what it means to be GENUINE and real. Her laughter dances like sunlight through trees, A warmth that comforts, a gentle breeze, With every word, she weaves a thread, Of honesty and kindness, where others might dread. In her presence, doubts begin to fade, For she wears her heart, unafraid, No pretense cloaks her vibrant soul, In her authenticity, we find ourselves whole. Through trials and storms, she remains true, A beacon of trust, in all that she’ll do, With open arms and a listening ear, She nurtures connections, dispelling all fear. Where others may falter, she stands tall, A testament to strength, inspiring us all, In a world that often feels cold and contrived, This WOMAN reminds us of what it means to be alive. So let us cherish the bonds that she brings, In the dance of life, where trust softly sings, For in her essence, we find a ra...

A Workplace Downer

They… stagnant… poignant of negative vibes, Their cloud of discontent Their bitterness heavy weight, Their constant complaining,  They never see the silver lining. Their words like anchors, dragging spirits low, They show zero effort to shift their perspective, Their sigh a ripple, each frown a storm, They consistently bring ungrateful scenes,  Affect the morale of their colleagues,  That's the role they have to play,  Like weeds in a garden, They choke the bloom, kill the joy, Yet in this grand scheme of things, Their vibes seem accepted,  By the trends of this new Gen Z.

In the Digital Mirage

In the glow of screens, where shadows play, Don’t believe all you see; it’s a deceptive display. Behind every smile, a story may hide, Some weave tales of grandeur, while truth is denied. Beware of the whispers that lure you in close, Not all who reach out have your best interests at heart. In reviews that sparkle, some truths are obscured, Paid for and polished, their honesty blurred. Success stories glitter, but not all that glows, Is rooted in struggle, where real growth flows. Advice from the masses, take heed and be wise, For not every voice holds the truth in their guise. Flashy ads attract with promises grand, But often they lead to a treacherous land. Trends come and go, like the tide on the shore, Stay true to your values, don’t chase after more. Random requests for your kindness or cash, May hide darker motives, a dangerous clash. Guard your own secrets, don’t share them too freely, For some may misuse what they learn about thee. In the realm of comparison, many lives seem br...
