Gratitude - MGS

In the warmth of the kitchen, where love is the spice,
Hands work with care, each movement precise.
Chopping and stirring, a symphony plays,
A dance of devotion in so many ways.

Thank you to those who toil and create,
Who season our meals with love on each plate.
Your effort is woven in every fine dish,
A labor of heart, a culinary wish.

As we gather around, let us pause and reflect,
On the flavors and textures, the time we connect.
Savor each bite, let the taste linger long,
In the rhythm of sharing, we all belong.

Be present in moments, let gratitude flow,
For the meal before us, for the hands that bestow.
With each forkful taken, let appreciation rise,
For the love in the cooking, the joy in our eyes.

So here’s to the chefs, both near and afar,
Your passion and skill are our guiding star.
In every shared meal, let us honor the art,
And cherish the flavors that nourish the heart.

Those Very Words - MGS

After reading a convo on our chat group this made me write another piece.

When I was a child, my mother would say,
“Never waste your food; it might not come your way.”
Her voice, a soft echo, a lesson profound,
In the heart of our home, where love could be found.

“Each bite is a treasure,” she’d gently implore,
“Think of those hungry, who long for much more.”
Her words lingered softly, like shadows at dusk,
A blend of concern and a mother’s deep trust.

Now as I ponder, with a plate full of fare,
I wonder if her warning was born from despair.
Was it a threat wrapped in wisdom so tight,
Or a reminder of struggles that danced out of sight?

Though now we have plenty, her words still resound,
A haunting reminder of the lessons I’ve found.
In a world full of choices, I still hear her voice,
Teaching me gratitude, urging me to rejoice.

For every meal shared, for each morsel I take,
I honor her wisdom, the path that she’d make.
So I savor each bite, with a heart full of grace,
Remembering her lessons, her love in this space.

Plate Of Plenty - MGS

If you don't feel like eating think of them! This photo have so much pain. 😒

If you don't like what's on your plate,
Don’t toss it aside, don’t seal its fate.
Each morsel holds a story, a journey begun,
A gift from the earth, a battle won.
Imagine a morning when the table is bare,
No bread, no fruit, just an empty stare.
What will you do when hunger call loud,
When the pantry is empty, and you feel starving.
The laughter of meals shared, the warmth of a feast,
All vanish in silence, a hunger unleashed.
So before you discard what you do not desire,
Think of the hands that toiled, the hearts that inspire.
Each bite is a blessing, a chance to reflect,
On those who have little, on lives we protect.
So savor the flavors, let gratitude flow,
For the food on your table, let appreciation grow.
For one day you may wake, and the shelves may be bare,
And you’ll long for the meals that once filled the air.
So cherish each bite, let no food go to waste,
For a plate full of plenty is a treasure to taste.

Manifesting Gratitude for Provided Lunch - MGS

This things I wanted to say after reading an issue about the lunch that is not being appreciated by some of the students.
To whom it may concern, (students or teachers),
It is important to recognize that the lunch provided by the PSS (Public Service System) is a privilege, not a right. Instead of complaining about the meal, we should express our gratitude for this opportunity. Many individuals and organizations do not have the resources to offer such provisions, and we are fortunate to have this support.
Being thankful for what we receive fosters a positive environment and encourages appreciation for the efforts made by those who organize and provide these meals. Let us embrace this privilege with an open heart and a spirit of gratitude, acknowledging the hard work that goes into ensuring we have access to nourishment throughout our day.
Please do not throw away the food if you do not want to eat it; instead, give it to someone who wants it. Continuously discarding food will result in negative feedback that could jeopardize this lunch program. If you wish for this program to continue, you must learn to eat vegetables and fruits, rather than only the usual foods you are accustomed to. Serving you healthy food is an opportunity to help change your eating habits. We must indulge ourselves in a healthy lifestyle, and one important aspect of that is eating nutritious food.
We are all aware that the cost of living is rising significantly due to ongoing conflicts and high inflation. The school is doing its best to sustain this lunch program, and it expects full support from everyone.
