Unmasking

You can’t please everyone, No matter how you try, A thousand voices whisper, While your true self waits nearby. Each smile you wear like armor, Each laugh a practiced sound, Leaves you tired and empty, In a world where you’re not found. That’s not living; it’s performing, A role you’ve learned to play, But deep within your spirit, The real you long to stay. How can love to find its way, If you’re always in disguise? If you hide behind a shadow, How can they see your light? The love that’s built on pretense, Is a fragile, fleeting thing, It crumbles under pressure, Like a bird without its wings. So, stop faking, stop shrinking, Let your colors boldly show, Embrace the quirks and edges, Let your true self overflow. For the right ones will gather, In the warmth of who you are, They’ll celebrate your journey, And love you near and far. So shed the weight of others’ eyes, And stand in your own grace, For the world needs your true spirit, In this vast an...

Teacher, how are you?

In four corners of the wall, Her steps synchronize the clock on the wall. She's exhausted, her coffee is cold, Her heart is full, her wallet is empty Lol, she's broke. Her to-do list never ends, But blame is always her. Sometimes she's being recognized more often not. She's not enough, not even exact, She needed a break she's exhausted.

Unfilled

The figures fill the empty, waiting page, The groups, the patterns form something of naught, But not the wise ones' wisdom or the sage, Instead of phrases, numbers here that ought, to please me; they create a reason, rhyme, in worlds of dark, chaotic, senseless words. To me, they free the mysteries of time, release among the sky uncaged new birds, who won't stand contrived beauty a moment, longer, Why this pointless glamour? Without, some logic, useless is the bright poet. The death of understanding: quiet shout, The infinite is held in math's own grasp, Yet without words, no great thoughts seem to last.

A Sense of Life

Truly, life is too short, It is shorter and shorter each day, Life of the living surely will fade away, In a blink of an eye surely will vanish away, The time we have to live is briefly given away Why waste time in things forbidden? Why spend time discussing nonsense matters, Like a vapor, our lives one day surely disappear Don't waste your life living for self-gain, Nor trouble your mind saving the game, Live a day living to the fullest, For only He knows the horizon, What lasts a day, when life is away? It's just be a dust to dust, When it takes the last flash.

Magnificent

Understand this, people, Kill your selfish desire, Otherwise, it will kill you Never be arrogant or boast your gain Overcome your arrogance Your conscience is your compass keep it,  In the dark side look at your soul, Be afraid of what you are capable to do.  Understand this people,  Be in good behavior Be modest, be humble, All the honor and power you don’t own, Be grateful with your maker And don’t let your importance overcome you, Never become arrogance nor be proud Be respectful to the Lord and humble to others Your body, your whole human being all comes from God. Understand this people, Like a weather with different temperature, Be hot, be cold both acceptable,  Being lukewarm is forbidden, Kill your selfish desire or else it will kill you Remember how you were born,   Never forget it will the end Do not boast about tomorrow,  For it won’t pass without a sorrow,  So, be under His care,   Be at peace and fruitful with Him,...

Genuine

It is always easy to follow the crowd and do what everyone else is doing. However, that is not what makes me happy, so I’ll choose a different path. In my own world, I can’t be what I want to be even I don’t act. I don’t want to duplicate what others are doing. For some, that makes them happy. For me, I need so much more than to lead an uninspired life. I need the things that fill my soul and electrify my heart. I’ll always be the one who walks, talks, and thinks like an original. I wasn’t meant to lead an ordinary life doing regular things. While some find happiness there, I need more. I crave colorful sunsets and rain-swept warm afternoons that complete my day. I want to embrace all the things that fulfill my spirit and ease my soul. I crave adventure, but I am prepared to be alone with my kids and husband, without anything else. I seek out-of-the-way places with people, but I’m not attached to them. I find joy in the company of those I can trust and treasure. In a word, I want t...

(A Letter For 10A SY 2021-2022 )

My Dearest 10A, Hooray! We made it to summer. Indeed, some days are crawling up on us, but it seems like just yesterday. A yesterday, the “first day high” full of laughing, mispronouncing your name. A "yesterday" when we were too awkward to greet each other in the morning. Augh, I am a little shy to admit, but a part of me gets a little emotional when I say goodbye because you will be shipped off to 11th grade. I was a little in denial; I would not miss you when you ask, but the truth is I surely miss you… a lot! And this time I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our time together in Math class because you matter a lot. Students, thank you for filling my every day with your “good morning, Miss”. Thank you for making me feel important every day by doing all my requested errands. Thank you for filling my desk with your awesome work, your quizzes, and your tests. Thank you for sharing your life with me (aside from doing Math), your writing, your joking, and sometimes a love s...
