The illusion of stability

Why Organizational Denial is a School’s Greatest Risk.  In many institutions, a dangerous mindset prevails: the belief that past survival equals current health. Just because a system has "worked" historically does not mean it is functioning well today. When schools and organizations normalize operational dysfunction, they create a culture of complacency. This denial acts as a slow poison to institutional progress. A critical perspective on organizational behavior reveals that a healthy school culture relies entirely on psychological safety and open communication. When leadership dismisses constructive feedback, ignores systemic flaws, or actively shames whistleblowers, they silence the very voices trying to save the institution. Silencing critics does not eliminate the problem; it merely hides it until the damage becomes irreversible. Ultimately, this serves as a stark warning for educational leaders. Organizations must remain highly vigilant, deeply receptive to feedba...

A Poem For all Ages - MGS

I write a poem that makes the world see,    a woven thread wherein hearts can be free. I write a poem that older folks feel,    echoes of wisdom, truth that is real. I write a poem that the youngsters think,   a spark of imagination, a vibrant ink. I write a poem that made the world known,   in verses and stanzas, our stories are sown. I write a poem that makes the world blue,   a reflection of sorrow, a true glance. I write a poem that makes the older folks cry,   for memories cherished and moments gone by. I write a poem that makes youngsters mourn,   for dreams that have faded and hopes that are torn. I write a poem to make the world healed,   with love as the balm and compassion revealed. I write a poem to make the world smile,    a gentle reminder to pause for a while. I write a poem to make the older hope,   a bridge to the future, a way to cope. I write a poem to mak...

A letter to the admin

To Whom It May Concern, I would like to bring this matter to your attention:  This is an important observation regarding the relationship between student success and behavior in the academic environment. It has been noted that when students experience a sense of achievement and confidence in their academic pursuits, there is a corresponding decline in negative behaviors. This suggests that when students are engaged and focused on their learning, they are less likely to exhibit disruptive behaviors. Therefore, I urge educators to prioritize effective instruction over strict behavior management strategies. The more time and energy spent on enforcing disciplinary measures, the less time is available for meaningful instruction. For instance, consider a scenario in which you, as a teacher, implement a rigid set of rules: students must arrive on time, behave appropriately, and remain seated. If a student fails to adhere to these rules, they may face consequences such as being made to st...

A Retiree Sentiments

Years I spent within these walls, Counting days and answering calls. Friends I met along the way, Yet none stood when skies turned gray.   Length of service, long and true, But still I’m stranded, feeling blue. No foundation, no strong base, Financial freedom lost its place.   They come to me when troubles rise, Use me up then turn their eyes. An old rug worn, worn and thin, Discard after strain and spin.   It’s not the years that mark my worth, But the light I shine on this earth. Yet in their eyes, I’m just a shade, An empty echo lightly played.   Still, I hope to find my voice, To inspire hearts, to lift, rejoice. For time’s not counted by the stay, But by the lives we touch each day.

The Things I Wanna Do

I write a poem that makes the whole world see, I write a poem that older folks can feel, I write a poem that youngsters can think, I write a poem that makes the world known, I write a poem that makes the world blue, I write a poem that makes the older folks cry, I write a poem that makes youngsters mourn, I write a poem to make the world heal. I write a poem to make the world smile, I write a poem to make the older folks hope, I write a poem to make youngsters believe, I write a poem that makes the world start anew. I write a poem that makes the world write, I write a poem that makes the older folks sing, I write a poem that makes the youngsters read, I write a poem, I write a song, I write a story.

A Teacher, A not Teacher

In halls of learning, shadows cast, Where echoes of wisdom fade so fast, “A not Teacher” walks with feigned delight, Yet, hide a heart that shuns the light. With words that flow like honeyed streams, They craft a world of borrowed dreams, But in the guise of knowledge shared, Lies hypocrisy, unprepared. For teaching’s art is more than guise, It’s nurturing mind, the opening eyes, Yet here they stand, a hollow shell, A mimicry of truth that crafted spell. They preach of passion, yet lack the fire, In every lesson, a muted choir, For genuine hearts cannot pretend, And wisdom’s light, they cannot lend. Oh, let us seek the teachers true, Who guide with love, who see us through, For in their presence, we can grow, And learn the depths of what we know. So cast aside the masks we wear, Embrace the truth, the love we share, For teaching’s gift is not a show, But a journey where real hearts can glow.

Mask

In shadows cast by whispered lies, Where smiles conceal the truth that dies, A mask is worn, a role to play, Yet hearts grow heavy, day by day. Behind the back, the words take flight, A dance of darkness, veiled from sight, With kindness feigned, intentions masked, Inside the box, where dark prioritize. Oh, how the heart yearns for the real, A touch of warmth, a chance to heal, To break the chains of pretense tight, And find the courage to seek the light. For in the depths of honest grace, We find our strength, our rightful place, So let us shed the veils we wear, And speak our truths with love and care. In unity, let trust be sown, A garden where true hearts are grown, For in the light of genuine art, We find the beauty of the heart.
